always Under Construction

Under Construction is probably a notice that should remain. Sermons are always under construction for Sunday morning, Thursday evening and other special services/funerals, etc. Our lives are always under construction as we seek to live as God’s people in this world.

Sermons are intended to guide and teach us in God’s Word. Hopefully they encourage us in knowing our sins through the use of the Law, confessing our sins, and knowing Jesus Christ as our Savior who forgives our sin as the Gospel is proclaimed.

I learned in my seminary training to preach from an extensive outline (I only put the main points in the bulletin).   Here are the topics for upcoming Sundays:

sunday, february 28, 2021
who's having a baby!?!
genesis 17:1-7, 15-16
i.  really?  at their age!
ii.  what? no gender reveal party!

sunday, march 7, 2021
so what about the ten commandments in today's world?
Exodus 20:1-17
i.  are they fair since god is a jealous god?
ii.  is it fair that only his son is able to keep them?

I pray and ask you to pray for me and all pastors as sermons are prepared according to God’s Word. I pray that the sermons may build us up in God’s Word and trust in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins and life everlasting. I attempt to add some humor in looking at our lives so that we don’t take ourselves too seriously and yet take very seriously God’s Word of hope in Jesus.

In Christ,

Pastor Daniel Behmlander

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”   John 8:12
