Our Beliefs
The Bible is in every part the Word of God and is without factual error. It is the source of faith and life for the Christian. (2 Timothy 3:16)
God is a Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is one God revealed in three persons. (Matthew 28:19)
Man is a sinner from the moment of conception. He cannot save himself by his own good works.
God's answer to man's problem of sin is found in Jesus Christ. Jesus freely offered His life on the cross to make full payment for all of man's sins. Forgiveness of sins is a free gift because of Jesus' death and resurrection.
We accept all of the miracles of the Bible, beginning with Creation, the flood of Noah's day, the virgin birth of Jesus and especially the bodily resurrection of Jesus from the grave.
Baptism is the means of grace by which we become children of God, receive forgiveness of sins and the Holy Spirit.
The Lord's Supper is the means of grace through which we receive the true body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ and the forgiveness of our sins
None of us at Good Shepherd are perfect or without sin. We are not perfect in our relationship to God or our neighbor. Through faith in Jesus Christ we have been reconciled to God and seek to live a life of service and praise to Him.
